Kwun Tong Garden Estate Community Photo Competition “Time•Place•People”
2021-11-26
Kwun Tong Garden Estate (KTGE) is one of the rental estates with the longest history under Hong Kong Housing Society. It contains countless valuable memories and neighborhood stories over the past 50 years. Along with the gradual commencement of construction works for the Ting On Street project pooled for transfer exercises, we are approaching the second phase redevelopment of KTGE. In light of this, let’s savour the wonderful moments and stories at KTGE with its residents and the neighborhood. Themed “Time•Place•People”, the Competition aims to encourage KTGE residents and community members to capture the moments of humanity or precious memories at KTGE through lens in hopes that stories from different generations could be spread and savoured.
Besides, to better prepare participants for the Competition, the Organiser is going to arrange a series of related activities, including photo taking by photographers based on the theme of the Competition. Their photo stories will be shared as a short clip with participants. In addition, a workshop on photography skills with a smartphone will be organised and a social enterprise, Social Bulb, will also be invited to host a photography workshop for residents to take family photos in the background of KTGE through light painting.
Participant
The Competition is open to the public. KTGE residents and members of the wider community are welcome.
